Recently, with the help of EveLab Insight, Dr. Sturm brought her vision to life through an immersive pop-up event in New York City, aptly named The Skin Longevity Lab. Taking place from September 12-15, 2024, this unique experience transformed 4 NYC neighborhoods - SoHo, Rockefeller Center, Columbus Circle, and The Meatpacking District, into a skincare haven, where science met luxury in a beautifully designed atmosphere. The Longevity Lab, a vintage, chrome, airstream trailer retrofitted with Dr. Barabra Sturm branding, displayed shelves adorned with product, and a section dedicated to AI skin scans, where 2 EveLab Insight EveV devices were included.

Attendees were treated to a range of engaging activities, including interactive skincare assessments powered by the innovative EveV technology. In addition to EveLab Insights’s technologies, attendees were invited to participate in play-to-win games, sip on Matcha & Skin Tea in branded to-go cups, capture photos in the STURMGLOW™ Photobooth, and receive a complimentary sample of Dr. Sturm’s latest innovations - among others. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as skincare enthusiasts explored the latest innovations and gained insights into personalized skincare routines.

The benefits of integrating AI into skincare routines are numerous. Not only does it help identify specific skin concerns, but it also recommends personalized products that cater to individual needs. This level of customization empowers consumers, enabling them to make informed decisions about their skincare regimen and ultimately enhancing their overall skin health.

At the heart of this pop-up event was EveV, an advanced AI skin analysis technology that elevates the skincare consultation experience. By utilizing sophisticated algorithms and data analysis, EveV provides attendees with a tailored skincare assessment and product recommendations that align seamlessly with Dr. Sturm’s philosophy of healing and hydration. Through its diagnostic process and 3D tracking technology, our patented device is not only able to depict the current state of the user’s skin, but predict the future state. Characteristics such as eye bags, pigmentation, wrinkles, eyelid laxity, and more are analyzed by Five 16MP cameras with structured light technology (daylight, true UV, cross-polarized, parallel-polarized, and Wood’s light), which capture high quality 3D face contour and high-resolution skin photographs in 25 seconds.

For instance, data on attendees’ ages, genders, popular skin concerns, and skin tones reveal the breadth of interest in personalized skincare solutions. For example, the event allowed both teams to learn that of the 720+ attendees analyzed, the user profile was predominantly females aged 30-39, of which main skin concerns focused on pore size, pigmentary spots, and the presence of blackheads. Data like this aids greatly in product development as it allows brands to more deeply understand their users’ needs.
